Stinson Reliant SR-7 from Comet plans

i built the comet stinson reliant a long time ago. i wish i kept the plans but no matter, thanks to theplanspage, i found the comet reliant plans. but i also found alot of pix of other reliant variants so i mixed and matched a few things. anyway, it worked out pretty good only i need alittle more downthrust.

Hi igo

Nice work looks like you have spent a fair bit of time on the build,
keep up the good work, by the way how's it fly.

John.

hello John, the build took about 3 weeks. but the construction for the fuse was a box with the profile taken from the comet plans. the wings were trickier because i wanted the gull wing thing. wheel pants were pretty easy too. but don't get me wrong, there was a lot of sanding to do, especially for the cowling. it does fly, roll off ground and nice landings too. but it does porpoise and i think my thrustline is pointing slightly too high.

thanks Tony, yeah i've always like that golden age of planes too. you don't see a whole lot of reliants these days. as much as i like fast planes, it's fun to have a nice looking lumbering slow plane. pretty relaxing to fly.

I've been waiting for someone to build a stinson reliant out of foam. Great job!
Wish you had more construction photos.
