These perform decently, but definitely not worth the price they are charging.

I think they are still relying on their reputation, which isn't what it once was.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I missed your post. Yes, G8's test well, G7's are by and large crappola.

Here's the page where I just finished retesting the 6000/G8's compared to a couple low cost packs of similar weight.
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...risons/page556
Scroll down to report 8338 for an explanation regarding the circumstance which may (for some) justify the cost of the G8/6000's (I do NOT believe the cost of the rest of the Hyperion product line is justified: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...&postcount=261)

Well, looks like I am back in the spark gang Was hard to find one, but I finally did and I am excited to fly it Have missed the spark since I sold my Canadian one awhile ago and needed something that I can throw in the car with the wings on and get a lot of flights on. Should be fast with k70

Welcome back
Your timing is pretty good. I picked a Swiss scheme quite a while back and plan to maiden it this week. The SM 110 setup I installed in it should tickle 180mph.

Memories,
My old Spark with a Stumax 110-45 on 10 cells was dopplered straight and level at 318kph
Was a very light setup
With todays batteries it would be amazing!
CARF should have never stopped making them

I figured this thread needs a little revival. Good luck on the maiden!

It is bigger, but I've always thought the spark was the perfect size for 100/110mm fand and 45/70 size turbines. The joker does seem to fly very nice however. There is a guy at my field with one and it definetely has the spark gentics as it flys very similiar. I've always been a little partial to the spark though since it was the first "real" jet I got.

Hi Chris, i think you are correct. They did retooled the Joker. Making the nose removable, which helps the model fit perfectly in my car. It flies great!
