Slow Stick twin Auto Gyro with video

I saw something this weekend at our local flying that was very cool. Someone modified a slow stick to be a twin auto gyro. I had a ball watching this maiden flight. It flew very well. I even got a chance to fly it. You can land this plane on a door mat. The auto gyro was using an EFlight 400 brushless motor.

Visitor from Reality - some of these plans were published as full size freebies in UK based RealWorld paper mags. I've seen the four rotor one fly - goes pretty good, though it has a lot of bits to get knocked off. - single rotor gyro kits. These are the 'real thing' in autogyros - what you saw, cheap and cheerful.

Had a twin rotor years ago back in England, slimey powered. Great fun, though it was down to loops (brave) attempted rolls (very brave) and flying around looking weird (not that brave at all). I started building it, passed it to someone else, who couldn't spell 'weight', so the poor thing was well over the top thanks to a paint finish about a 1/4" thick. The twin rotor gyros are as easy to fly as any decent three channel trainer, though they do some things differently in flight.

If you like weird, oddball and wondrous, a gyro of some sort is a must!

Hope that helps

That is a slow-g. I built it and put it on someone else's slowstick. Everyone loved it.

Yeah a guy at my club has one of these and he keeps showing up with it but he never flies it. Keeps saying it needs more wind... I think maybe it doesn't work but he doesn't want to say.
