These are all pretty much the same thing and work well with EPP and my guess would work great with depron. Edit: maybe don't use these- I have no real experience with depron... |

Lower Kv like (1200 & 1400) will require bigger props. Most likely 8" or so... At 550mm w/s you will have to get creative to fit an 8" prop. (That is 1/3 of your wing span. The F22 design does not allow the bigger prop-slot. Unless: You stretch the centre portion or omit the fuse bit from the slot back. (then you have to find another way to stiffen the wing part back-to-front) I have used the Emax CF2822 1200KV in a Skyray with an 8" prop. Worked a charm although with more prop-torque (roll) I have also used the Emax CF2812 1500KV motor with success on many other slot jets including the F22 using a 7x3.8 WSF prop on 3cell. I had to modify the design to allow the 7" prop. Your best bet if you HAVE to use what you got is the Emax: XA2212 , 1400KV and a 6" WSF prop. 3cell, 20A esc and the light plastic 9g servos. It should fly just fine... but not a rocket. I hope this helps... a bit. Happy building! |

My F 22 Raptor, WS 25", length 32.5", Emax 2822, with 9*5 prop, just made in 3 nightsQuote:
Completed with: 3mm Depron with a lot of CF rods. Emax 2822 1200kv (39g) with ...... 9*5 prop Skywalker 20A ESC (19g) 1500mah 3S lipo 40C (106g) 3 servos plastic, (27g) Rudders also activated WS 25", length 32.5, original paper which you can see on plane was of 22"WS which I expanded by 1" from each side plus wings more than 1".
Need suggestion: I have Carbon Fiber tape, Binding tape and transparent tape. which one is use to make it more strengthen? Where should be its CG for 1500mah battery having weight if 106gram.. |

I can only guess but I'm guessing CG probably somewhere close to your motor mount.
May take some experimentation to find the sweet spot. |

Hey, I just made a new F22 to replace my old one, and 3D-printed a motor mount which seems to be working pretty well in case anybody is interested.
