mine is still sitting in box. but i came up with a novel way to attatch the wiring in the wings , and it makes for quick dissasembly so it fits into one of the wing boxes .

using 3-pin molex connectors with the locking clasp , just cut out the foam at the wing centre to fit and re-solder the connector onto your extenstion leads on both sides , then glue it in once done , then when flying just clip the molex connector on and go fly ..

also a good insurance that stops the wings separating..

my fox is still in one peice...lol , dont know how others are fairing , mine was a proto .. lol

cheers

Ming,
I will take the stab for $10 including postage. How can we proceed with the deal? Can you throw in a control horn as well??

Hi Fred,

I was flying the tow plane in Mr K's video.

Attached are a few pics of the towing rig i built, which includes a release mechanism.

All the gliders on tow used a fixed hook at the nose, and were released either by me throttling back and turning left while the glider turned right, or were released by me dropping the tow line from the tow plane.

The fox towed up really well, and was far more suitable than the moulded glider we towed.

The moulded glider 'overtook' the tow plane a few times.

The Bee towed up remarkably well also.

Thanks for the info! I was wondering how to do this part. Somewhere around CG is the best place to connect the line then? What motor are you using? I planned to use a Unique from MS-Composite with a 2510 stator size motor at around 220W. The plane seems to have plenty of thrust and flies great at low speed.

Edit: Then I have EPP in both ends of the line .

You definately want to tow point to be around the cg. Mine turned out to be a little behind the CG due to the pushrod tube i used to feed the tow line through.

In case it wasn't obvious from the pics, the left side goes to the front and the right side to the rear of the wing.

The little 'hook' bends go around the leading edge and under the wing, so when the glider is being towed, the wire is pulling from underneath the leading edge. This is very strong, and only requires a few rubber bands to hold it in place.

Motor is an Atlas 2909/20.

I have no idea what that means though, i picked up the plane second hand.
It will take off in 10 foot and climb out at 70degrees until its out of sight though.

Plane is a hobby lobby Super Miss, and i believe they came with motor and esc as a combo.

Nope, I'll stick with EPP!

Was just going to press the button for (another) one, but I see the single models are no longer free shipping ?

Yes, I am sorry about that.
But our cost to ship one Fox to oversea is way too high.
US$35 to US$40.
So, I just offer the free ship for 3 pcs pack.
