Long Awaited Legend "lyman"

Hi guys! It has been awhile since I have been on the forum due to a detour to the hospital for a back operation . All went well and I am still in recoup mode but I am starting to get frisky from lack of movement. Since I can see the light at the end of this ordeal, I thought I would break with some long awaited news on the forth coming kit from Legend Model Boats, the 25’ LYMAN soft top sleeper. This newest entry is a full laser cut, all wood kit with machined from bar stock, and custom chrome plated cast deck fittings. All kits starting with the newly re-introduced “Century Thunderbolt” will now have M.A.C.K. PRODUCTS precision running hardware included in the kits thus allowing the modeler to choose whether to build the model as static or radio controlled model.
Since I had taken some running photos of the boat built from the new kit at our last club function, I thought you might like some action shots of her.
If you haven’t already signed up to be notified on the release of the kit, call M.A.C.K. PRODUCTS at (732)870-2966 to be included on the list.

Jeepers1940- The model is a 1/10th scale model who's measurments are 31" long with a beam of 9 3/4". The model uses the MACK power package for the boat which has the MACK model #5045 marine motor for power, using two 7.2 volt NI-MH batteries in series to net 14.4 volts for main power. The model will run over 1/2 hour cruising and as it turns out is one of the faster models in my fleet. Handeling of the model mimics the full size lyman to the tee.

I saw a couple of the real thing for sale at a Lyman site. (lymanboat.com)
Wouldn't that be a hoot to have both. Also good shots if you're going to build the model.
