Scorpion.ini data file error message

Hello Louis and thank you for your effort and time.

I tried to load V3.33 and received the error message "Scorpion.ini data file is not compatible or is corrupted".

Do I need additional files and if so which and where. I'm not too savvy on adding files into the Windows registry...any help appreciated.

Thanks for sharing your hard work.

Hi
You need
** to have the S..exe and ScorpionCalc.ini in the same folder
** to use a short cut starting in that folder (or to run directly from the folder)
About new release ..
I am struggling to install MS VB6 on my new PC on Win Seven !! Not so easy
Next week I am out for skiing .. sorry
I hope to be OK in about 12 days ...
I have several new Scorpions to embed

Hi

I make a tentative with the version v334 made under VB6 under Windows 7.
It seems that the .exe is running under my version of Win7 (.dll and .ocx already installed)
For convenience I will keep v333 available for download for one or two months.

New motors are
** S2503-1610
** HK 4225-610
** HK 5020-450
** HK 5035-500
Now I can go to ski
Regards
Louis

new version 3.35

Hi
Two improvements for the Scorpion Calc v3.35

New motor is
** S5030-220 = excellent efficiency
There are presently 95 referenced Scorpion outrunners

Now, tip blade speed is also expressed in mach / 340 m/s number
(in the performances frame)
Better to keep under 0.75 mach !!

Regards
Louis

version 3.35

Hi
The first attachment of Scorpion Calc v3.35 was zipped with an executable containing the french dll of MS VB6
Now I have corrected the .exe to remove the call to this library file.

Sorry for the unconvenience. Please update (same version number v335)

I have to say that Microsoft VB6 is a good dev environment but that the management of local versions and international settings is not perfect.

Soon I will go to a new v3.36 including the picture of the new S5030-220

Regards
Louis

Bug report:

Hi Fourdan,
I'm currently using v3.36.

If you select a motor like: S2215-1860, use a 3s Lipo 3.7 drop down slection and then let the system pick an optimal APC prop. Close the application, then re-open. You end up receiving a Tempature warning, and or a "Motor On" warning.

When you look at the estimated Temp... the field shows 140.8 *F

I've tried this with several of the 22 series with the same type of results. The Temp estimate seems to be off (very high)..

I checked against the recommend props for a few other 22 series motors, and the recommendations are well within the specs.

Let me know if you need additional test cases.

Thanks,
Bob

Hi Bob
I have tried
S2215-1860
3S LiPo
APC 6x5.5E mode "to keep" (for example)
Running time 0.5 minute
You get 16.7A 16515 rpm T= 55.9 C
Quit
Restart
Scorpion Calc prop mode "auto" (default mode)
So another prop close to Peakeff is selected
No warning (on my v3.36 session)

Note "to keep" prop mode (Library) is not saved in Scorpion ini
If you tried a big motor + a big prop and then you change for a small motor
It could be a warning if you are in "to keep" prop
In "auto" no problem you have a prop around Peakeff

"auto" mode is more secure if you go down to a smaller motor
with "to keep" there is a risk of warning

HK 3026-880 corrected (new testings)
New prop Aoxan 5x3 (similar to GWS 5x3 DD)
