It's a fine fiddly business.

Thank you. This is my first semi-fast boat. It runs just the way I hoped it would. It is fast enough to be fun and slow enough to keep me out of trouble.

That is Flowing Lake near Monroe Washington. It has very nice public access to the lake.

I will probably run it as is this summer and finish it up this winter. It is fiberglassed and has two coats of clear coat. None of the trim or fittings are on.

Hi, All,

A bit late to the party. But as a result of reading this thread, picked one up myself. Mostly framed and progressing well, but have several questions, concerns about the glassing:

1. Is it necessary to use fibreglas at all, or would a couple of coats of finish epoxy or resin do it? Followed by glass polyurethane. I do plan to run it in water, but not all day or anything.

2. Is there a particular type of glass to use that will be transparent when done. Can't believe the detail that seems to show through.

Thanks for your help. Sure don't want to ruin this great project.

Thanks, John
