Question

Beginner needs help. World Model Piper Cub(1/6 scale) conversion.

Hi
I have a WM Piper cub and here's the spec on the box.
[/B]
Wing Span : 71.0 in / 1800 mm
Wing Area : 698 sq in / 45.0 sq dm
Flying Weight : 5.5 lbs / 2500 g
Fuselage Length : 47.0 in / 1200 mm
Engine Required : 2C 0.40 cu in : 4C 0.52 cu in
Required : 4 channels, 5 servos [/B]

Here what I currently have.
Four packs of 3S1P 2100mA 15C Lipo battery.
Castle creation 55A ESC and 5ch receiver.

So, I guess I need to buy a motor and may be battery.
Please advice me what motor and battery I should get from United Hobbies.
I don't want to overpower but good enough for big loops.
If I can get around 10,000 RPM with 11x6, I'd be happy.

Thank you for your advice.

I think the 3S batteries are your limiting factor. 4s would be better for a 5.5lbs model.

Anyway, I think an AXI 2826-10 (whatever the United Hobbies equivalent is) on 2 of your packs (in parallel for 4200 mah) with a 13/6 prop would fly the plane OK, bit probably would have trouble doing a loop.

I don't know much about United Hobbies; maybe someone else knows the equivalent motor.
