1/2A cardboard airplane
I remember building a C/L cardboard airplane for a black widow .049 from a model airplane news magazine when I was a kid. the planes are all long gone but I have alot more cardbord than balsa wood as there are no local hobby shops here in maine. Would any of you know where I could find r/c cardbord airplane plans. If not I'll probably just wing it. Thanks in advance. (just need something to hold me over till I get my cloud ranger.)

Jolijar-
Here's the plan from deep in the archives (Feb. 1970 issue of American Aircraft Modeler) for the cardboard cutie which could be built for CL or free flight. I would think that if it would make a good free flight, it would be better w/simple R/C. For other ideas, you may want to check out http://www.fiddlersgreen.net/ which has a huge collection of plans for paper models. I know that there are many guys in some of the other forums who scale up these plans and build them from fan-fold foam. I would have to think that cardboard would work also although it would be significantly heavier. Good luck! |
