2 Slofly EPP P51 Kits for sale + lots of extra parts $50 shipped

I've got a couple Slofly EPP P51 kits and some extra parts that I'd like to sell. These guys are lots of fun to fly and are the same size as the very popular Micro 22. The EPP P51 is a profile model just like the 22 but the wing is shaped a little differently and the fuse has more surface area for better knife performance. Needless to say, it's a really fun plane to fly.

Here's a listing of what's included for the $50 price.

2 - Slofly EPP P51 foam kits
3 - extra wing and ailerons sets (this number does not include the wings that come with the foam kits listed above
16 - extra horizontal elevators
4 sheets of scrap foam for cutting extra rudders.

So if you were interested in getting one of Steve's smaller models before he closed up shop this is your chance to get a couple and enough extras to keep you flying for a life time.

Because I only have one box to ship all this stuff in I don't want to split this batch up. Sorry, no piece meal orders.

Price is $50 shipped via USPS Parcel Post to anywhere in the US. Will also ship to Canada but price will be slightly higher to cover extra postage.

Paypal and Money Orders gladly accepted.

Thanks for looking.

wow, it seems impossible to find pics of this. Curious of its size and such too. Slofly.com takes you to the ebay store which seems to have zero info.

Yeah, Steve closed Slofly about a month ago and seems to be selling what's left of his inventory on eBay. These wingspan of these planes are 22 inches and I'm not quite sure of the overall length.

Here's the build/discussion thread for the Slofly kits:

There's a couple days of reading right there.

Thanks!

Thanks for all the info. That is not really what I was expecting. A bit more scratch built than i expected it to be. it's a great deal though.

Still available.

Thanks for the time and info!!

Honestly, I don't know how anyone couldn't be happy with these. They build so fast, and will outlast the gear that's used on them. I've still got a 28" Acro to build and a box of foam (need to buy some of that 9 mm before it's all gone).

How well does the P51 fly 3D? I wish I would have seen your other listing in time to grab those 22"s.

Iwasn't aware that steve actually closed down slofly. That's very sad. He's a great guy to deal with & had great products. I wish I had the extra money to buy this stuff. What a good deal!

NS: I'm certainly not a very good 3D pilot but I the P51 is a a lot easier to knife than the 22 is. Another feature of the 51 I really liked was that the nose of the plane is a lot more durable because of it's buit in taper. I've heard some say that the 51 is easier to hover but you couldn't prove that one by me. I'm still trying to learn to hover a 28...

GS: Yeah, a lot of people were really disappointed when he shut the store down. I (obviously) bought a lot more than I would ever need when he made that last announcement. I'd like to lower the price some but the USPS raised their rates so much that $12 of my price is just the shipping.

Yeah, you're not the ONLY one having to deal with that one. I have since found out that shipping anything of actual size is much, much cheaper through Fedex. It's a pain for me because I don't yet have an acct set up with them so I have to drive 20 miles to get there. But, it has paid off for the last few things I've shipped. One thing to keep in mind though is for international, USPS is probably the cheapest. It's bad when it costs less to ship something to Canada these days than somwhere else in the US. Sorry about hijacking your thread. I'm done.

Hey, you're not hijacking my thread - that's useful info! Might just save somebody some money now that I know that! I do have an account with FedEx and they have a Kinkos/FedEx location about a mile from my house so I'll definitely consider them.

Thanks for the info!

I'm telling you, I sold something on feebay a few weeks ago & it was 23 lbs. to NY. The estimate at UPS was something like $36. And USPS was so much I didn't even consider. Fedex was $11.42 & he got it in 3 days from here in Kansas. Of course, I also had a box that was just over a lb. going to Canada & Fedex told me $76! It was $6.52 at USPS via International First Class.

Wow.. those are some definite price differences! I've also found that if you're shipping a small package to Canada that sending them via USPS International mail is the only way to go.

The big problem with this shipment is the box dimensions. The package itself weighs nothing but they tack on some extra charge for being oversized.
