I haven't been flying today . Instead I've had a very leisurely afternoon fitting my T-Rex 500 into an Airwolf fuselage. The manual says it's easy to fit. It speaky with forked tongue......................it was a to fit but the finished product looks great, I'll try to follow up with a piccy or two.

Just finished programming the Logo ESC, done the tail boom supports and tail case etc. RX has quick connect so that's just great . Just waiting on the few parts to get flying, I just can't wait! It also seems like this Align 75A ESC will be fine, 100A burst for 15 seconds (maybe more too). Motor specs: Max Continuous Current: 78 Amps |

You have a Scorpion 4020-1100 right? It will pull waaayyy more than 78a when it needs too. I never saw a need to use govorned headspeed on my smaller helis but I do on the 550's. I dont see how how the plastic tail blade grip with the molded arm with the control ball stays together but there arent many problems with them. My tail is very smooth and precise with Rotor Tech 85mm blades on it but I fly it a lot with bright colored plastic KB's for visibility You will need to pin your boom if it isnt done. You will see a molded spot between the boom clamp bolts in the frame. You can carefully drill thru the plastic in the center and use either a tapping screw or machine screw. Some just let the bolt point put pressure on the boom but I actually had to drill the boom. I carefully(again) ground a tip on the bolt that went in the matching hole in the boom.It doesnt penetrate into the inside of the boom more that .5mm max. It makes it impossible for the boom to rotate. The boom will not rotate during agressive sport flying but it will doing 3D moves that have a lot of loading reversals. You will know when the boom rotates by a flapping sound I have yet to do any grounding mods on my Logo but have the Outrage 550 and raptors completely grounded mechanically. I dont tie anything in to the electrical system but allow a stripped, fanned out end of a wire connected from the alloy motor mount to act as a static brush on the rotating main shaft as part of the grounding mod. |

I think the guy in my office drew the map. He thinks Whitby is close to Peterborough . Thanks for the comment. It's going to be flown for the first time tomorrow (well in the fuselage anyway). It's well sorted in pod and boom form with over 100 flights behind it, the CG hasn't moved and the body is very light so I'm anticipating everything going to plan. Paul |

I've seen a few vids on youtube with the airwolf kit fitted, I think they look excellent. Something I wanna try once I've got my flying upto scratch.
Are you going to get a vid of the first flight? |

I don't have a video camera unfortunately. However if you have one you are more than welcome to pop along to do the camera work. It'll be flown indoors tomorrow night at Longtoft School in Stainforth. I think the forcast is not so good for the daytime. Bring a model too and have a flight too. Flying starts at 7.00 PM and finishes at 9.00 PM £3.00 per pilot if you are interested.

p4ddy, That's the one I went for today (Leeds) I was told it had been discontinued a while ago. They have some from a different supplier coming in on Tuesday but I'll be buggered if I can remember the name. It'll come to me so when it does I'll post it here.
