I FLEW MY HELI! i got to take my heli over the school, had to land cause the caretaker's dog ran over then ran off scared the head had stopped by the time it arrived tho! I have all my stuff like spectrum receiver and new esc now so the heli made it into the air proper flew it around infront of me, showing side in control, although i need to tinker with my pitch and throttle curves, they are linear , throttle is 70% at top stick with 10 degrees and bottom stick is 0% throttle and 0 degrees, i am thinking 80% and 7 degrees would be better? what do you think?

Friday the 13th.
Not risking it today.

OK, it's really the 30mph gusts keeping me grounded.

Congrats, grovey. It's nice to see something other than the back of your heli when it's flying .

Flew today at our field. Father's day and guess what all the father's wanted to do LOL. I did nothing but practice inverted nose in hovering. Been doing it knee high. Next week I will be working on tail in.

The full rotor balancing worked very well to smoothen out my tail fin. I had no vibrations all morning. I should be ordering a prop balancer like that of Du Bor's to perfect balancing. It can take the tail rotor on a 3mm shaft and the main rotor on its shaft.

Went to field - flew with one good battery, one not so good and while having even worse one - crashed . Same thing happened to me last time - I've just lost control of the tail - it went into slow piro. Last time it was really for a sec (slightly more than half a turn) - but now it didn't stop so I just let it fall in tall grass. Both time it happend after a stall turn. Strange ...

Anyway, I had problem finding it! . Eventually did find it by moving servos left and right and listening intensively... LOL

Aftermath: one link was broken, main gear slightly slipped and... No, that was it! Replaced link, moved motor as much as possible up to main gear and lowered motor's gear bit down (as it was just a 1/2 mm up and main gear was unevenly slipped from top to bottom) and continued flying for another 3-4 batteries! It did produce characteristic sound of slipped main gear while spooling up but in flight everything was pretty normal...

Unfortunately up to the last battery I didn't dare to switch to Idle up and/or do anything more than figures of 8 or circuits. With last battery I did try a stall turn again and let it go in sharp turns but that was pretty much it... Wind didn't help and sky wasn't pleasant to be looked at...
