Why can't I buy beer on Sunday? My days off are Sunday and Monday so Sunday is kinda like my Saturday. How come I can't buy beer on Sunday?

You can buy beer here 24/7 in any market, but it can only be served between 6 AM and 2 AM IIRC.

I know, it strikes me as unfair as well. Historically, all my best drinking tends to come between 2AM & 6AM.


They don't mess around either. No "last call" where you can buy a couple and milk them. 2AM, and you better have an empty glass.

I can buy beer Monday thru Saturday but not on Sunday, legally speakin. I can buy beer 7 days a week in a glass but carry out is limited to 6 days a week. This has been the case in several states.

Just be happy its only beer. My Fiance lived in South Holland, IL when we first met. In South Holland you cant buy anything but gas and fast food pretty much. I tried to buy a Pepsi in the gas station and the guy looked at me like I was crazy. They even place sheets of paper over the candy to cover it up on Sunday!

My father retired to a small town in Arkansas a few years back. Found out later the town (Pee Ridge) and county were 'dry', no alcohol sales.

He was a non drinker but thought the idea of restricting beer sales because certain groups did not want people to drink was absurd. Dad relocated to another state.

Brew your own. Its not that difficult, and then you have it 24/7. Problem solved.
