Ha I just put this up like 3 minutes ago. I'm glad you like it. My brother and I made it for a summer project, we are still working out the controls, hopefully we will finish before we go back to school.

When we get a little better at flying it we'll definitely get some more video. The only thing is, neither of us are brave enough to fly it without one of us ready to catch it. Also if you want to see more projects that are similar to this one, check out the VTOL forum. There is some pretty cool stuff on there.

Pretty nice model. Have you tried flying in a more open area? You are probably getting some control issues from the downwash coming off the walls and furniture and back onto the heli.

Your brother must love you and he must be a brave soul to stand there to catch you heli. Have you considerd using a pivot arm to attach the heli to?

We flew it in our living room earlier which is much much larger and it did fly better, much more stable. There is definitely a lot of wash from the room in the video. We'll try to get some video in the living room soon.

Took some more video in the living room. There is a lot less wash in here. Also, we have switched the pitch gyro to a pg-03. The pitch is much better now but I think eventually we will need to switch to a heading hold.

Hey, at least the pilot wears safety glasses . The guy grabbing at the thing obviously needs no protection :P.

Hi, You may be able to help me on a different issue. I've just posted a question regarding my Salvation 1 helicopter. I've just bought it brand new from ebay and when I increase the throttle, the helicopter itself would spin rather than lift off. Why is that? It hasn't had any crashes as it never lifted above the ground.
