Look for RC Hot Deals. He's in California and usually goes to all the big shows.

EDIT - Just checked the vendor list, he'll be in booth 403.

FWIW, HobbyPeople has a 2212/09 motor on sale for $17 (and will be at the AMA show):

That's not a good motor for this plane, the kv is too low. The Suppo 2212-6 2200kv motor is the one you need for this.

I don't know but you find little half-pints of water-based paint at Lowe's and I get some colors at the local craft store. It's funny when I go into Michael's or Hobby Lobby as I am usually the only male in the place! Craft stores also have some glues we can use, and lots of stick on letters and stencils.

Thanks. I use CA, epoxy, Gorilla Glue, hot glue & 3M High Strength 90 Spray Adhesive on coro, depending on the application. It's important to prep the surfaces properly.

On this build, the primary glue was Gorilla Glue on the tabs & slots of the airframe. The K-F step (upper wing piece) was attached to the main wing with 3M. Epoxy was used for the plywood motor mount & wood support blocks.

PM me if you want or need more info - I'd be happy to help.

I use to build SPADS out of coro. How are you prepping the coro? I use to rough it up with some sandpaper, but I also used paint thinner to take the top protective coating off too. Nice plane you did a good job. If my foam one doesnt hold up, I will try a coro one next.

Neet paint job DENNIS.
Thank all of you for your paint suggestions. I did go on the
www.testors.com site. Found a hobby store through them that is about 35 miles from me. They do not have a wide range of ACRYLIC colors. But will get me by.
