Looks good Dennis!

Question about the servo arm visible in this pic though. Is that centered? Looks like you may want to move the arm so that it's 90° to the control rod.

It's worth it

I like to keep everything hidden as much as possible. So the rudder servo is mounted such that the servo arm is just above the wing sheet inside and GoldnCable thru the wing sheet to the rudder horns. Hopefully the photo's tell the story.

Yeah nrg2 that's a much "cleaner" looking method. I like it. Mine will be more acceptable after I touch up the paint. My rudder surface areas are huge compared to those. I can't wait to try it today.

Pat , its pretty much centered , just looks funny cause of the angle the pic was taken , flys good , a little less power that i had hoped for , i up-propped a bit , hope that does the trick .....

Despite 20- 30 MPH Santa Anna high winds . Dennis maidened his , and I flew mine with a lot more lateral control with the rudders. After I discovered they were reversed. lol
If you want to fly steady and and with full control during high alpha in windy conditions add the rudders.

About to try another motor on mine. Sunday for no apparrent reason my motor started cogging and wouldn't power up. Friend gave me a Tower Pro 2408-21t .. The review people say it's a good motor on a 7x5 prop. One reviewer even says he was going to put it on a depron F-22

I've only built this one and the 18.8" Nico Hobbies one. I like em both. This one carries the extra weight of a rudder servo better, which gives better controll all around. When I make another 18" one it will have rudders too.

bigtruck , Can't find the fish scale to weight it. But in the above video my F-22 is flying on a Tower Pro bell type 2408-21t-3 delta = ( triangle symbol). On a 7x5 APC E prop. A Turnigy 1000 ma 20c 3s li-po. ( it also flys nice on a 1300ma).
My buddies, Dennis, the camo painted one, is on a Jet Screamer motor , he'll have to chime in with other info.
