I can not wait to fly it and see how it looks in the air
Nice work!

What plan or technique did you use to construct the front part of the fuselage and canopy?

Thanks redrumm101 for the encouragement and support and many apologies for taking me so long to respond but this last two weeks have been busy, till now I had a chance to check my mail

now this is my go plane it is just so much fun to fly and the best of all is that you do not need much room to have fun with it

well I may build a scale F-22 but at this time I'm working on the next project it is a scale J??-?9 and there will be plans for anyone who wants to build it vids coming soon on my youtube channel

also thanks for posting the F-22 vid here

Solder on outside of connectors

[QUOTE=birdofplay;18561971]Well ...

So I have since moved on to 3.5mm banana types from HK or similar.
I started using the 3.5mm sets with the Blue matching housings.
They are a pain if you get ANY solder on the outside of the barrel
as they then become difficult to Snap into the housing.

The trick is to wrap the solder end with the little hole with some Alum foil as in cooking stuff. This stops the solder leaking out.
Also don't fill the "cup " in the connector with solder as the wire will displace some.

I'm just reading these pages so hence the late input and a great thread with fab info.

Definitely going to build me a F-22. Thanks Tomhe

Foam abuser!
crxmanpat's Avatar
Sorry to see it trashed. But that's the great thing about these planes. You can crash it, but still have all the electronics survive to go into another $5 worth of foam.
