If it is working FOR you then DONT STOP.
My mileage may be different for any number of reasons..

I became very suspicious of connectors in general after that Eye Opener.

Maybe my PP connectors were old or corroded as I soldered my wires to em.

Hey with good connectors I BLEW two 30A esc's today !
The HK motors had C-clips and they were BINDING when I got down.
Very P!$$$ed just now :-(

Hey at least My wor torn battle hardened F-22 is still flying well !

Well when I pick up the pak during charge and I see JAGGY SPIKES in the graph
I have to investigate.
I found my Power poles to be "Noisey" when Shaken ( not stirred ).

So I have since moved on to 3.5mm banana types from HK or similar.
I started using the 3.5mm sets with the Blue matching housings.
They are a pain if you get ANY solder on the outside of the barrel
as they then become difficult to Snap into the housing.

Otherwise I like em.

But lately I'm thinking that since the latest Lipos Paks are coming with the YEllow
connector I might have to eventually go to that style.
Yeh, I use the blue HK EC3s. Converted my entire fleet over to them before HK produced and started shipping the LiPos with the yellow XT60 connectors.

A trick with the EC3s is to get your self a small blow torch. Make a holding plate (something that won't burn) with holes for the male and female connectors. Tin the wire ready then put the male or female connector in the holding plate and torch from below, add some solder in the connector then put the pre-tinned wire into the connector. Don't remove the torch because if you do you will end up with a cold joint. Keep the torch heat there until the solder in the wire re-flows with the solder in the connector. Remove the heat and let cool, job done and no solder on the outside if you have been careful.

I would also recommend you buy a pair of cir clip pliers for disconnecting. One should never disconnect by pulling on the wires themselves. You can place the plier tips between the two connectors to separate them easily and quickly.

My battle scarred first fighter poses beside a newbie yet to fly. Thought I'd take a side by side pic for comparison.

That F-35 looks pretty slick. Is that an extra fin on top?

Yeah. I guess its supposed to be an aerial antenna. F-22 doesn't have it, the F-35 does. Looks good in breaking the profile lines though.

Thanks Park Flyer. I hope it performs as good as the F-22.

That's a pretty slick scheme - hi-viz camouflage .

I would put something on the bottom - just the shock of NOT seeing the top could render it invisible

Yeh I accidentally turned left instead of right during the maiden of my little 75% Polaris the other day and flew across the sun!! I thought oh nooooooo

Hang on I can still see it

I guess it is overkill given the 65% F22 isn't going to get too far away from me, but it is different.

16g motor http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=6311
Zippy 500mAh 3S 20C batt
Cut down 5" prop (approx 4.5")
HK 10A ESC
6Ch HK 2.4G Rx
AUW 205g/7.2oz

Maidened today and flies great!

A little under powered for my liking but still powers out of trouble. Just what I need for down the local park when I can't be bothered driving to the club field. Getting around 10mins flying time with 20% left in the pack.

Will try to get some vid at some stage. The GoPro tends to make small things disappear due to the wide angle.

Looking forward to pics and video!

At this size, I prefer this motor:

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idproduct=5432

With a 10A ESC, GWS 4530 prop and a 3S 850 pack. She really comes alive on this setup.
