RC fans of this plane living in the US are very lucky, you can order directly from the stock of Unitedhobbies just for you, and you you have two choices, big or small (see link below). price is incredibly low.....

They show two versions:

CMPro Cessna 192 Skylane 50 (USA Warehouse) Part #C182-50 $120.75
- http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=8260

CMPro Cessna 192 Skylane 140 (USA Warehouse) Part #C182-140 $199.95
- http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=8259

I'm guessing the "50" model is the one flown in this thread. Anyone have the 140 size??

Waiting for pay day to arrive so I can shove this under the Christmas tree!! Surprise gift from Santa!!

There's a thread around somewhere on the 140 size... but here we've been talking about the 50 size.

Damn, this is such a sweet plane. I would love to have one but its just too big and too expensive to put together. I wish someone made this plane in about 45-50".

I just ordered this plane also. But before I fly it, I want to perfect my flying skill first so I ordered a NitroModel Low-Wing Super Aerobatic Trainer 40 - 65" Airplane. I am planning of using the MonsterPower 46 (670kv) Motor. Would the 46 be enough or should I go with the MonsterPower 60?

For ESC, I am going with Volcano Series 80A Brushless ESC. If you can think of some other ESC that would be good, please let me know. The BEC can handle up to 3A so I think 5 servos should be OK.

Battery would be Poly RC 4S 4000mAh (I got 4 of these for my heli) and I plan to keep everything light. Servos would be HS-81 on the wing.

I have logged about 30 flights on mine and she flys like a dream the only bad thing is it lands fast. I have zero damage on her but coming in for a landing I have to start way back and do pertty much a carrier break to take the speed off of her. But it has turned into my sunday flyer.

I did one of these a while ago, used an EFlite 46, 6S on a 12x6 APC-E. As described above, the landing is reasonably quick, but it is a beautiful flyer.

Here's a couple of shots prior to its maiden. Went smoothly till the landing. Approach was spot on, gently onto the mains, then as soon as the nosewheel touched down it veered hard right. Subsequent investigation showed the noseleg rotated inside the collet. It was also replaced with a Robart unit, and was perfect from then on. Mine was the early CMP kit without flaps.

I have refitted mine on floats. I have some finishing up to do. Some more bracing and building the water rudder linkage. I'll post more once finished, with it on the lake. I still have all the lighting installed.

I can't wait to go evening lake flying.

Hi Jim,
I was planning to do the same work as you on my Cessna, can you tell us more about the the floats you used and the construction of you floats-structure under the belly of the plane?
Great job anyway!
