Planeinsanemodels.com - THORN LIGHT - Build and fly!

So I've had the Thorn light for a few months now, but no time to build or fly with work being so busy, and my new super cool daughter. I've been wanting to get back in the garage so here GOES!

Packaged very nice.. Thanks Andreas!

Where to get ..... - Plane insane models -

Very straight wood overall, except one panel has a V E R Y slight twist. No biggie, I'll just tape it down overnite and it'll be fine.

4 servo wing should be sweet on this little screamer.

THIN wing with a crazy looking flat bottom-ish foil..

Wheres my sand paper..

Don

Whoa nelly.

I posted before the kiddo's and truck.

Actually I have a couple year older version of that truck anyway. But buzz doesn't want kiddo's. Best left for those who do want them

I suppose I should get a radio that has adequate programming for flaps too, before I get a thorn light

Good to see you finally started the build thread Don! Maybe with enough encouragement from everyone you can get it finished in no time.

These will also come in a 2 wing servo version, so you don't *have* to get flaps.

The airfoil is a modified AG27 (Drela). I think you will like it! Flies fast in light lift and inverted is surprisingly good.

Doesn't 'lite' go against the whole idea of a Thorn??

Could be.

I had the pleasure of lifting a thorn wing 1/2 today. I'm pretty sure 1/2 of a thorn wing weighs more than my carbon bird, ready to fly.

I'm not sure if I want a standard, or a light.... But I think I want a light.

Andreas knows what I really want though Anxiously awaiting the release of another prototype... Which I selflesshly *LOL* offered to test fly for him :P
