Which gyro would be better for a hornet. # GWS PG-03 #2 JR 410 #3 Fut. gy240? I currently have a pg-03, but have read that the heading holds are much easier to fly! All help is always apprec. Thanks deeejay

Deeejay - Go with GY 240 Futaba HH. If you do a search here on the "E" and at the MS Hornet BBS, I don't think you will get a different answer. The HH holds the tail like a rock. Really helps the learning process. HeliHut.com has them for $95 + shipping. Enjoy.

I agree - the GY240 is the way to go. Be careful where you buy it, tho. Some of the low priced places sell gray market versions (ie. no US warranty).

Well the warranty doesn't mean a whole lot to most of us Hornet freaks since we tend to remove the case, potting compound and shorten the wiring to lighten it in our quest for another few grams of weight reduction. The only time the warranty would apply is when you first get it if you had a way to test it before the mod process. Save the money. Gray market or not the gyro is the same. I've got five of these little jewels and never had a problem with any of them. Your choice. Tower is getting $119.95 and HeliHut is getting $95.00. Paying $24.95 for a warranty on a Hundred dollar item is like getting one of those great Sears Service contracts for a Kenmore Dryer that lasts forever.
