Mini fan F-15C with bifurcated exhaust

I wanted an F-15C and I wanted to see how using a bifurcated exhaust would affect power levels. This was my first design and worked out pretty good other than needing to add weight in the tail to make the CG. That was the price of keeping the plane as scale and as small as possible.

Link to build thread.

Update: decided to rebuild and repower. CG situation was dealt with by moving the battery packs to either side of the fan behind the intake ducting. Motor was changed to HET 2W20.

Bifurcated exhaust is where you split the exhaust flow from a single fan into two streams to achieve a scale looking exhaust on a twin engined jet like the F-15. Done correctly you loose a little power, done wrong and you loose even more power.

Cgrc a-10

Thanks for encouraging me to fly my FW 90mm F-16 T-Bird with Mr RC Sound. Wish I had a video of the maiden. Well I dove into my penny bank and ordered up the V2 CGRC A-10. I have a promise date of no later than November for my 60th birthday. Would like to have it done by next years Jet Jam. As much as I like the foam planes and cost, they don't take minor punishment to well. I did order another LX A-10 kit as it was 180 bucks at Banana. I'll be putting twin 70mm Schubler fans in it for better sound and power to include better flight times. The landing gear will be upgraded too. Love the F-16 and it flew very well. When I added the flaps coupled with the elevator there was no noticeable change in the flight characteristics. Not to mention the AS3X Rx worked as advertised also for a rock solid flight. Did have to add right trim though as I think the left stabilizer was up just a bit. My first Jet Jam was a success and to meet all the great people.
