Looking good Scott!

That 3rd picture is going to drive DanT nuts.

I have made a full-fuse as well - still haven't mounted any electronics on it yet.

F&L

Grandson was over today and we got a little more done. Boy the front retract is a pain in the to get right. Going to try a cirrus cs 26BB servo on the retracts, i'm hoping it will control all 3. If it flys half as good as the F&L we will be tickled pink. Going to start with a pair of bp2408-21 with counter rotating 9x5 three blades @ 2cells. We also flew the two F&L's today. Ran about 4 batteries ea. Good times.

Phew....looking at that kit makes me tired! That's why I picked up a Phase-3 P-38 last December when I decided to get something that looked more realistic.

Can't wait to see the sucker when it's done.

Another Addition

Here's mine, but one of my daughters changed the name to "Hulk Storm" after seeing the paint job.

Yea team! Love the two 'newbies'! What are the specs on both of those? What type of foam did you use?

Lee,

I used pink fan fold from Home Depot, not really the best stuff but it's what I had.

TowerPro BM2410-9T
18A MAG8 ESC
APC 10x4.7SF prop pulling about 6 amps
two HXT500 5g Micro Servos on the ailerons
one GWS Pico servo on the elevator
Hitec Micro 05S receiver
True RC 700 mAh 15C 3 cell battery
AUW just under 16 oz

I used what I had on had, even cutting the spar and booms from spruce boards I had in the shop.

It flew great! I had to add a lot of trim to the ailerons to get it to fly straight so I must have a twist or something somewhere but other than that it was ready to go first time in the air.

Great design I love it.

Just some thoughts here...

- I used to fly with the APC Slow Flyer prop but have happily switched to the GWS HD props. I don't think they make a 10" HD prop (???) but I've been happy with my 8x6HD. Give one of these 'stiffer' props a try.
- Your servos may be too small/not enough torque for this kit. The HXT900 'may' be a better choice. This is just my opinion...I put my F&L through some serious turns and loops. I'd hate to strip a gear on such a small servo. Just something to consider.

Cool beans! Send us some video if you get a chance!

The foam was some I got for free from a sign shop with the paper removed.

Motor: TP 2408-21t
Prop: 0906E
ESC 25A Mag 8
Battery:Loong Max 1000mAH 3S
Servos: HXT 900

Right now it's a little fast, for level flight it's at 1/3 to 1/2 throttle.
