West Michigan Park Flyers

We can supply your EPP needs in sheet or block form. Give us a call and we can work thru pricing. We will eventually be adding it to the website when I get time to edit the site.

We can custom cut #1.3 and #1.9 EPP in white and black.

We have a slicing machine that can custom cut 3mm up to 1" . Slicing means there is no skin left over from a hot wire. This foam is cut cleanly with a blade.

We can custom hot wire cut from 1" - 6".

Normal sheets and blocks come in 24" x 36", however we can do other sizes as needed up to 48" x 72".

We can ship anywhere in the US and almost anywhere in the world.
The downside with shipping foam is that you are paying for the size instead of the weight. It can get expensive quick, especially when shipping over seas.

Let us know if we can help you out or if you would like a quote.

Hi

Just wanted to share my experience with Vortex-rc
They 45g/l and 60 g/l EPP sheets white and black of different thickness... They were really good in communication and ship internationally

They are from India

Hope this helps

A sheet of paper and a few doodles. Once I get the overall idea as to what I want it to look like, the rest is just the TLAR method.

Although, my design criteria is all about keeping it simple. I don't even hot wire airfoils anymore, it's either flat or KFd'.

The sailplane calc spreadsheet is awesome!

My laser is driven from CorelDraw so generally I put stuff in there so eventually it can be cut. I can output DXF/DWG or native Corel files. I can import and trace images as needed

I've got a very basic spreadsheet where I can plug in wingspan, chord, and some tail parameters and get out the maximum mass (using basic wing-loading and wing-cube loading values for the kind of plane I'm designing).
It also calculates the power-to-weight and thrust-to-weight (again using nominal values for the type of plane).

Hangin.
For those of you looking for EPP in Southern California, I have bought from Marko Foam in the past and was happy with their foam. I just got an updated quote on their prices:

White 1.9 EPP 72"x48"x6" $169.99.
White 1.3 EPP 72"x48"x6" $130.90.

Looks like they've moved to Huntington Beach since I last bought from them in Irvine.

I might be picking up a 1.3# blank, anyone in Ventura/Santa Barbara county want to split a blank?

That's almost identical to the Skywalker X8. I had one, but never got to fly it before passing it along.
The second look alike would be the Opterra from Horizon..

I'd pay a few bucks for some very small wings. Little dinky 24" jobbies. Probably could cut 'em out of the scrap from a larger wing...

Here's a great flying super simple little EPP design sporting a Jedelsky airfoil.
