No matter how much money he sends to China, he is still keeping enough of it to keep another USA business up and running... and thriving. Half of our problem here in the states is peoples attitudes, they focus on finding the negetive in everything and point it out instead of focusing on the positive. It takes more energy to cuss than it does to pray. Please take this to PM if you wish further discussion. I apologize for hi-jackin' your thread, please feel free to delete my posts if you wish. |

For anyone who is curious...
Here's the epilogue on my Depron-EPP bonding experiment.
Cliff's Notes version: the conversion went well and I've now had several flights on it and all is well |

Not exactly sure why some took my post as negative... as it was meant very positive
I really like HURC...buy a good amount from them for many reasons I just mentioned a lot of his stuff is bought from China.. (unfortunately almost everyone now buys from China..wish it were US...as we need the jobs)...but Jeff at HURC... cares enough about his stuff to have tested eveything...and is supported by his comments and data. HURC is a company I will continue to buy from as he does a LOT of things spot on. |

Of course you don't, because you are viewing it from within your (continued) USA-centric point of view.
Someone working and living in China would probably find your posts offensive. For whatever reason, the U.S. has ceased to be the place stuff gets made. Mostly that is a result of US policy, U.S. business practices and U.S. purchasing practices. Time to stop complaining about China - they didn't take anything, you gave it to them. They are just working for a living, doing the best they can to satisfy their customers. |

The thread is titled "EPP Sources, building tips, tricks, links and free plans" .......... You guys are a little off topic,......don't you think???
I'd normally say " take it to the ballot box" but you are talking about Amerikan politics, you haven't got what you voted for in decades...... fwiw... |

Luckily there are two model stores in my tiny country ( Slovenia) that have large blocks of EPP on stock. 10 years ago when EPP was still kinda exotic material I was ordering it from Germany over E-bay.
I suggest you to find someone close to you that cuts models with CNC hot wire saw and buy from him, e-bay is still an option but packages are big and postage cost a fortune. just to see how blessed we are with rc-kino store offering EPP in different sizes... http://www.rckino.com/trgovina/mater...bor/depron-epp I'm sure he will send it to you, but postage will cost as much as material itself. |

EPP hot wire laminated blank glue
Help needed, due to having to build with what I got I need to make a thick blank to cut a wing profile out of so I have had to cut 4 x 15 mm thick blanks and now I need to glue laminate them together for a nice 60 mm thick stack.
My problem is which glue can I use to laminate each 15 mm thick slice to the next but then it must be able to be cut with a hot wire? Glues that I am leaning towards are either UHU poor contact adhesive, E8000, 3M 77 or PU which do you think is best for the job? I surmise that 3M 77 will do the job as the ply wing profile plates will be epoxied to the EPP sides so they will provide the final support? This is the build thread that I am working on at the moment so you can see what I am doing...https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=2525236 Anyway ideas please one and all. rct |
