2 metre rule applies!

Maybe my advantage as I know the process. UHU Por or Welders and the hinges stay strong and light.

I prefer Foam Tac, but I've never used either as a hinge. Hot glue is out of the question since it normally doesn't look to good when completed. I had some Welders so I'll test that with the Foam Tac to see which one makes a better hinge.

Thanks for the video. Being new at this foamie thing I need all the help I can get. How about glued hinges? I've tried them with Welders and some glue I got from rcfoam.com called ultimate rc foam glue, pretty good glue. Not sure if its as good as Welders but when they both have a chance to dry properly I'll find out. Thanks again for the video.

Tom

Update: the rcfoam.com glue makes a very strong hinge. I'm doing another test just to confirm it but it seems to work great.

The test results are in. They both make excelent hinge joints. I'm amazed at how strong these glue hinges are. I like the ultimate rc foam glue over the welders, not because its stronger but I just like the bottle it comes in.

I'm looking for another source for EPP. I usually buy from rcfoam.com same place I got the ultimate rc foam glue. Where else can I look? Price is not the question I just like fast shipping. Good products and fast shipping. Thanks all.

you can try http://wmparkflyers.com/foam.aspx they are closer to you so it should save on shipping time.
http://www.rcskyflyer.com/ is great too but he ships from california so it may take a bit longer.

Got Foam?

www.RCSKYFLYER.com has my vote.
I build a lot of one off scratch-built planes using several different sizes of foam on each plane and RCSF is the only supplier that I have found that offers large 24'x36' sheets in several thicknesses.
