EPP hot glue accelerator Component Cooler from Radio Shack. I use this to spot glue.
http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=search

I use a 1/8 ball cutter on my Dremel to route in my 1/8 carbon fiber tubes, the tubes will snap in place. I than cover with a layer of hot glue and spread with a putty knife.

Also hinge with hot glue like above, the only way to hinge EPP

Carry a hot glue stick and BIC lighter for field repairs.

Blenderm works for Hinges if you seal the surface with UHU, 3m77 or similar.
Get a 12v to 110 (or 240) invertor and use a proper low temp glue gun for repairs

I'm looking forward to trying it "over/under" as a stiffener. Quicker and easier than tunneling and gluing in tubes and rods. Might belighter too.

Lead I am using Home depots 3mm dremel. The pack is saved just to share the # hopefully it is still in the box. If needed let me know and I will look.
There is a black attachment that allows the dremel to adjust height.
A line is drawn 21mm? from the line that needs to be cut and away you go.

Thank you for everyones efforts to consolidate EPP building info!!!

Steve, do you have a picture of this set with the dremel that you can post? Do you use a straight edge as a guide, or just follow theline free hand?

videos

Build videos; like the one on the Flopsalot thread and in the RCSuperPowers web site; are excellent teaching tools.

Looking for volunteers to to make short videos of your favorite building techniques and tricks for working with epp to post on this thread.

If some links to similar build videos already exist please post!

Mandatory for males and Womandatory for females to use the straight edge.

Bit Dre194 (almost sure need to check)

left column

They have a round bit which should use less glue from its rounded cup slot.
It also hides it.

You can sand EPP with sandpaper or power tools such as a belt sander, but often times will be left with a peach fuzzy surface. I use a sealing iron (like the ones used for covering models with Monokote and such) to gently remove the fuzz. I start out at a low temperature and slowly raise it until the fuzz starts to disappear. If the EPP beads begin to swell, I just press them down and smooth them out with a cold, flat piece of metal.

Rab , Firetrappe Thanks for the links to the plans. I'll add these to the list.

For each plan, could you indicate which category it fits in?

Thanks again, Dan
