HEY MERKAVA

I used dry wall reinforcing tape, its sticky on one side, then spread SOE GOO, a rubbery glue on the tape.
The race car guys use it on their bodies.
Makes it much stronger, but stll has some flex.

Its a fusion 3529/10 with a 9x4.5 APC and a 25a Esc, got a 3s 2100 & 3s 2450mah batteries not sure of the flight time yet but I think its over 10mins with throttle management, I was flying mainly at half throttle on those vids with only the 2100 battery and it still had 60% left in. She just needs a bit of tarting up now, new cowl, touching up and putting on the decals. I also got a red 2 3/4" spinner yet to be fitted

strapped my Nokia N95 video phone to the P-40 today, here are the results

First time it was strapped to the front behind the prop, didnt fly too bad considering my rudder was flapping about willy nilly as the linkage ripped off on an earlier unexpected landing, Second time I strapped the camera to the wing with more downward angle but it was a pig to fly so I ended that one early.

Hey guys, new to GWS planes. Just picked up the P-40 off the for sale posts. Man there are alot of parts. anyway this motor came with the plane Himax HG2025-4266HD Heavy Duty Motor I hope it's enough power because it only pulls about 118 watts with at 12 amps at full throttle. Not really sure about how these gear boxes work. I would like to use it because every thing goes together really nice with a 3 blade spinner I had lying around. any help would be great. Not looking for alot of speed just over scale would be nice.

Is that the watts/amps it's pulling running everything through the gear box? That seems underpowered to me.

One word of advice would be to fiberglass your cowl. If you don;t know how to do it, find someone and have them do it. It'll save you at least $15, and a lot of trouble.

I've tried three different props on mine. This should give you an idea on the amps and watts you should be looking at.

The e-flight 3 blade prop for the Corsair. I was getting 260 W at 24 Amps.
A 2 blade 10x8, pulled 295-300 watts.
I had a MAS 9x7x3 that I really liked, but I can't find anything regarding what it was pulling.
