I've been wanting to do some sort of flying bird but without the complexity of doing a ornithopter. A soaring eagle would be so trick.

Guys,

Sorry I haven't been keeping track of this thread.

Rick, yes the wings are held by rubber bands, but can easily be adapted for wing bolts.

Here are a few more pics as requested and the manual. (disregard my protection egg )

As for power I have used a 1000kv (10x6 prop) and a 1750kv (8x4 prop) brushless motor you only need 1/2 throttle for both.

CofG is 6cm from leading edge but this is not critical.

By the way Mike at eflypower.com provides excellent service, I have bought from him many times.

I also bought the EPP Pitts here are some pics.

Both are excellent flyers

Great info - thanks! I think a folding prop would be nice on the Eagle. Time to fire up the credit card!!

I ordered it from the link in the 1st post above.

You must first register before you can order. Then click the box in the upper right hand corner that says Currencies and select US Dollar. From then on all prices will be displayed as US dollars. the Eagle comes out to ~$57 USD and shipping is ~$23 to the US for a total of just over $80.

Will do, but I don't expect to receive it for at least 2 weeks and I have at least two projects underway already.

I got an E-mail from them on 8/14/07 saying that it has been shipped. Still waiting for it to get here, though I expect it will take some time to get half way around the globe.
