KA Models Mig 15 vs. Alfa Mig 15

Hey guys-

I was just looking at the Hobby Lobby sale on the Mig and started wondering which one of these is a better bird..

I really like my Alfa Mig, but the foam is just soo.. fragile.. I am always afraid I'm going to ding it, whereas the KA Mig is a nice solid built airframe..

How do these two compare? It might be apples to oranges as I am thinking the KA Mig (Not the park flyer) versus the Alfa smaller Mig..

But for the price, they are pretty close - of course the KA needs some work, but I like the work..

Anyone flown both of these with a direct comparison?

Thanks

Jeff

GreggF has experience with both.
When not flying his F-16 turbine, he flys an Alfa MiG.

Well if I ever get my K&A Sabre on the bench I'll be able to compare the Alfa Sabre to the K&A Sabre. Too bad I've been sidetracked so far.

Go with the K&A. You can pick your colors and it will be unique.

Yeh, I was afraid it'd be apples to oranges..

As long as the KA flies as well as the Alfa, I'll be happy..

I've had two Alfa's.. and thought about branching out..

Yeh, that was part of your lot you picked up, right?

I'd love to snag a Jepe A-4..

I was going to get another Alfa Mig during their sale, but I think I'll try the KA model..

Yup, part of the lot including the A-4 which needs some work to fly again!
The K&A will be more difficult to launch/fly and far less forgiving of mistakes since its alot heavier and has a lower power to weight ratio vs the Alfa w/5blade JSmotor and 4S combo. The cool factor is higher though! Gotta love fiberglass.
