Aileron Servo(s): One or Two???

Newbie was just wondering if building a pylon ship with two servos is worth the trouble...
Will the Spoileron/Flaperon functions really slow a pylon plane that noticebly?

Generally two servos are run for 'snap flap' to mix some camber in the turns. The secondary function of two servos is to run spoilers to shorten landings. To be honest, if you are not at a high wing loading then two servos are sort of over-kill. One servo is usually plenty sufficient. Sometimes running two servos can simplify the linkages and adjusting the throws/centers. If you have the room and an extra servo, two aileron servos are nice... but they are not necessary.

Thanks for the info!

I have never used ball linkages before and the Flash Pylon I got comes with unthreaded aileron linkages/ball joints.

Do I have to thread the linkage and use a nut over the ball joint or do I just secure the ball end with some CA?

I know I know what a noob right? hehe

I'd solder the ball on.
