Not sure what size plane you have in mind.

How about the EVA Piplane?

Nice plane, but not sure it would really qualify as a trainer though.

Sig LT-25
Goldberg Eagle 2
Great Planes Trainer 40

All are builders kits with 56 to 60 inch wingspans. All are easiy converted to electric. If you want a more complex build try a Sig Seniorita or a Sig Senior Kadet (not the ARF version). I've converted a Seniorita and a LT-25 and my flyin' buddy has a converted Senior Kadet.

I would vote for the Sig Lt-25 or the Molt Tyro 150...

I like the looks of the Tyro.. If one were to move the gear from the nose, to the tail, I'd bet you'd have an even better bird..

Another possibility is a Herr Engineering Cloud Ranger. 42" wingspan and has the option of three channel or 4 channel, either gas throttle or electric ailerons. HTH

Second the Senior Kadet. They're just huge and they're amazing flyers.

I really like the Stevens Aero Squirt http://www.stevensaero.com/shop/prod...cat=254&page=1
There is a bigger version:

Not quite as big as a Sig Kadet Sr., but a very nice size.

What ever happened to the old Mud Ducks? God I haven't seen one of those advertised in forever, and that reminded me of it. I would LOVE to see one of those converted to electric, just for hillarities sake.
