world's 1st(?) RUBBER motor aerial video

The rain and wind finally gave up today, so I taped my Gsmart Mini2 camera on my Lanier King Condor Rubber Band foam glider (w/6 ft. wingspan!) and flung away.

It was a little late in the day, so the video is dimmer than I'd like. Also, the big rubber motor makes more vibrations in the fuselage than I imagined.

I did get one longer, high flying, real smooth video - but it is too dark. It only shows the outline of the landscape!

So, I expect better results on sunnier, calm day with a cushioned camera.

But this, the first, (and brightest), video attempt, is a fun start.

And it ends with an absolutely perfectly framed, comedy ending! (I nearly hit them!)

Enjoy! I'll post more as I make them, and then eventually convert the plane to speed 400 or more to carry bigger still cameras aloft!

I Re-did The Link Again

Try right clicking and save to your local drive (as I always do with everyone else's videos here! - You can always erase it later ;-))

Got it this time. That's cool! I thought the dog was going to have a foam lunch

I have a king condor under my bench waiting for some bench time, too... I was thinking about GWS 370, perhaps, but not as a camera plane at that power. What does she weigh RTF rubber powered?

condor specs

SPECS: Wing Span: 74"
Wing Area: 629 sq in
Length: 56"
Weight: 25 oz
Altitude: Maximum 75 Feet
Distance: Maximum with Zero Wind 1/2 Mile

Greatest thing about having a plane this size - it was the only FF plane I haven't lost in the brambles yet!

FINALLY - a clip EVERYONE should be able to see!

OK, I finally got around to converting the clip to a more universal codec so everyone can see it now!

(it's a low, brief flight and briefly backlit and grainy)

I think the quality was a little degraded after conversion - BUT you'll get the drift!
