Had to change Jib, Sidestays,Backstay chain plates. They are plastic and
will break as soon as you put tension on them. Sails are OK but could use
a better construction (panneled) Alignment of keel is off so had to use a
dremel before attaching bulb. Otherwise the kit has quality and sails OK in
both light and heavy winds. She does create and attraction at the lake and
will beat any Seawind.

I've just ordered one of these ETNZ yachts. Your pictures look awesome!

Can you please be more specific about your boat mods?

In particular, what have you used for the chainplates? How have you fitted them? Can you post any close up pictures?

Also, does a forestay need to be fitted? Is yes, how would you suggest this?

I'm only relatively new to this, so I appreciate any help you can give me!

Will post some close up photos today. I used Cap Maquette fittins for the
chain plates and stay tensioners for side stays and back stay. For rigging
used 90 lb spectra nylon covered line. I did not use a forestay as I think
it is not needed. Passed a 90 lb spectra nylon covered wire through the
front pocket of the jib and she sails fine like that. That takes the place of
a forestay. Again will post photos today. Regards

Beautifull set of sails. That is what she really needs. Are you going to have
them available to the public. I hope so.

etnz logos on sail will be optional, sign writer is working on them now, will send pics asap, but waiting for cloth, have voyager sails to do first!

oh, norman, you may need to run the D1 stays to stop the mast falling off sideways as much!!

Ultimate Hobbies shipped mine last Friday. I can't find a manual online so I'd like to know what sail/rudder servos fit the trays so I can get them ordered ASAP.

the sail servo needs to be size of thunder tige runit, as a plastic cover goes ove the drum. i am not sold on this shheting method, but will work with it for now.
rudder servo is a standard servo.\

both screw into a very nicely laser cut box.

buy the thunder tiger battery pack as standard cells wont tfit the carrier, and boat wont go for that long, it is after all a one metre, bug sails!

That yacht looks amazing! Great work, altho the thought occurs to me, that its looking a bit too nice to actually risk sailing...(.oops.)
Unfortunately, it also begs the obvious....it would look very nice in my office (all my most [only???] skillful sailing takes place there!), and its still got to be cheaper than artwork? [my delusions are still my own...bl**dy bank hasn't got those yet!]
