the picture is taken at Font d'urles, not cols des limouches (we spent the first day at col des limouches (north wind), and moved to Font d'urles on the second day (south wind))

here are the coordinates:
4453'38.75"N
519'11.69"E

the main cliff is 400m high, and it is followed by 500m of slope to reach the bottom of the valley.

at col des limouches, Alexis Marechal (Mr Aeromod) reached 294 km/h with its Miraj DS

Target, I like them both equally in different way's.

Keeping in mind that I have only been flying gliders for a bit over a year.

I don't have a lot of time on the Tomahawk but so far I haven't been disappointed. On the winch she tows better than the Ceres which is a real plus for a newbie f3b'r. But after flying with JW this weekend I'm learning how to launch the Ceres better. It likes lot's of line tension. The Ceres thermals better for me so far but the Tomahawk spot lands for me better. Might have something to do with the build though. I built the Ceres and David Hauch built the Tomahawk. I didn't get the throw I wanted on the Ceres. From now on you or David can build all my planes. I much rather fly anyways.

I let JW fly the Tomahawk this weekend and he had nothing but positive things to say. One comment that I've heard before but not sure what it means was that it's slippery.

For fit and finish I vote for Tomahawk. Ballast in the fuse is a plus too.

I did have a blast with the Ceres on the slope for the first time on Grass Mountain flying MOM.

Cheers,
Fred

Target, I'm a better talker than writer so if you want call me so I can interpret. If we can meet up some day you can take the Tomahawk for a test fly.

It must be fun to watch JW fly a Ceres.

Joe:

Don't come to any F3F race with a Ceres in SoCal, please!

I'm kidding, of course, you are always welcome.... I like coming in second to kyle with the occasional lucky first thrown in; I might have to accecpt third if you show up, though!

Thanks for the reply, Fred.

This is my "new" crossfiRE. Last owner left it in a totaly un-flyable condition, including missing nose, broken spar....... Now it just doesn't shine anymore, but flies fast as before (or may be a bit faster, given the 100g gained)

I'm only posting these pics of my NYX Furio V as an excuse to prove that, once upon a time, the sun did shine in Ireland, and the trees had leaves, and the flowers were blooming.. !

What's wrong, it's just a 3 m v-tail F3B/F glider?!
