New video of Roxxter 22 Flybarless 3 axis gyro

Hi guys,

Here's a new video of the Roxxter 22 from LF-technik with a flybarless rigid head. The "three axis gyro BOT" as he calls it is still in the works.

It will be interesting to see if this heli takes off or if his 3 axis gyro will work in other helis as well. From the video it looks like his system performs very well.

I saw the prototype in Heidelberg, Germany at a fun fly and this baby is sweet!

Wow, it shoots up like a rocket. I wonder if he could do that with 1650rpm headspeed. I also wonder if the video looks good because it's a good pilot or if it's a good system . Must be the pilot skill

Now that is impressive. I just wish that they were not so freaking expensive!

I want to see how well that thing flys in some wind.

But other than that, the preformance was very impressive.

I've seen the heli first hand and it's very nice. Yes, a bit expensive but you get what you pay for.

The pilot is Lutz, founder/designer of LF-technik's Roxxters. He's an excellent pilot which makes me wonder how much the 3 axis gyro is doing and how much he is doing?

Spill the beans ChrisT88! We'd all love to hear what else is around the corner...

i think most impressive is, what the heli can do with only 1450rpm !!!

(have you seen any other heli in this size flying like that with only 1450rpm on its head ?)

thats the most impressive thing for me
(because flying hard with 2200rpm -> seems to be standard meanwhile anyway)

@Eco8Gator:
from princip a flybarless electronical stabilized system should work better in the winds than a normal system with flybar..
thats something v-stabi-users say at least..

I agree. I was blown away at its performance @ 1450. I'd love to know what drive ratio he uses on the tail rotor.

Maybe he'll put the new Mikado Herring bone gear in there to cut down on some noise when Mikado finally comes out with their bird.

The Roxxter does use a few of Mikado's parts as it is.

FYI:

http://rchelispot.com/viewtopic.php?...80cd8c93da5de4

For those that are interested in the Roxxter 22, I am considering stocking kits/parts, but would like to gauge some level of interest in the machine. (There will be some comonality with the upcoming R55 v2)

Initial price will be $649 for the kit w/flybar $629 for with with 'rigid' head (flybarless for use with vstabi or gyrobot)

The gyrobot will be available approximately in October. (No pricing yet)

In comparison to the Logo 500 3D the Roxxter 22 offers:

Carbon frame,
carbon skids,
carbon fin,
GRP canopy,
alloy head,
alloy tail gear box,
alloy pulleys,
lower weight,

Comments and thoughts are welcome!

Yes, the tail has some common Raptor parts, grips, hub, yoke. LF has plans of manufacturing his own no date set on that. I have the same parts on my 55 and have countless flights on it, works just fine, easy to get replacements and cheap too... Seems a little unusual, but..

BTW: He is having a spiral gear manufactured for this as well, I believe this is what delayed the initial release.
