I'd also like to ask if Coverite Microlite would work as well as the recommended Ultracote Lite?
Update: I've ordered the Microlite and will see how it goes...

Happy New Year Everyone!

Wrapped vs. Pultruded Fuselage

Goodwinds sent me my wrapped tubes and as jkarpy noted earlier; each one makes 2 fuselages for either the MSSX or MSSXBP. The weight difference is huge in my opinion due to the nature of this ship so I'm glad I didn't rush this build and now have a fuse for my MSSXBP too

OEM Pultruded tube: 6.3g
Goodwinds Excel Breeze Wrapped tube: 2.8g

Another advantage the wrapped tube has over the pultruded variety is its flexibility and strength which will maintain structural integrity throughout rough landings and minor crashes. I have a few extra tubes for those who are interested and will put them up for sale on the RCG Ultra Micro and Electric Aircraft FS sections.

I can offer a discounted kit for those who want it without a fuselage. I will look into getting the Breeze tubes as an upgrade option.

I think that would be a great idea for those who are sticklers for weight like myself
A power set with ESC, motor, prop and possibly battery would be awesome too.

My kit was missing a part. I emailed and had the part in less than a week.
That's customer service.

Nice.
I still fly my first one. After a nasty crash the hanger felt empty. Ordered a kit.
It is, now, built save power system. Got the crashed unit going, waiting for the mail and never looked back.
What ever covering is on the ARF is fantastic.
Have fun!
