design elements for the HH fuselages

hi there from Toledo

You might consider using the Vstab and rudder profiles from the HH short kit on both of your fuselage variants so as to pay homage to the design elements as bestowed upon us by Darth Woodie, our fearless leader.

It just seems right.

Hey Jack aka DW... Well I just printed out a 9/75" S3021 template and mated it up against my Addiction fuse. It is a perfect match. So I'm guessing that the I must have a hi-bread Addiction fuse. Guess what I'm going to be doing in the real near future.... looks like I'm going to have a HH in my fleet....

I just received the plan set yesterday so now I have those profiles and measurements. OK to steal them for the fuselage, Jack, or would you prefer it remain different? Just askin'

I have always said, these are your toys... do what you want. All I ever ask is that you don't call it a Houston Hawk... A modified Hawk... OK... Take credit for your improvements...... or blame... ... for them... as appropriate...

Jack,

So my HH with 1-1/2 " wide spoilers is not a Houston Hawk!!!!

I will have to call it Houston Hawk(MS)

Send back my HH decal!!!!!!!

Just kidding.

BTW they work great. Same length , just wider.

hi there from Toledo

Rant On:

Given that the "approved" Condor fuselage is no longer available,

and given that many other commercial fuselages have been substituted,

and given that several attempts at P&B woodie fuselages have been built,

and given that a woodie facsimile of the Condor started this thread,

and given that there are no known versions built to the original HH concept drawings,

then how can I build a true and official HH if there is no Darth Woodie approved FG or woodie fuselage design? Sheesh.

Rant Off

Come on Jack toss us a bone for heaven's sake.

And yes I refer to my electrified woodie P&B version with the fishing rod boom as a "Houston eHawk".

Just so everyone understands, my intention was not to start any rants or dis-gruntlings. I just wanted to know if anyone could tell me where my fuselage designs were going to break since I'm not an engineer.

I completely understand Jack's position that if I screw up a design and call it a Houston Hawk that that might reflect on his work and his design. I am very ready to never do that.

Well... OK... If it flys great... call it a Houston Hawk... If it don't... don't...

Just kidding... with all of it! Except for one part... It really is YOUR toy... enjoy!

If it has Hawk wings... I guess it's a Hawk...

Ya know... it's still amazing to me that this design is still pretty popular... So... I guess in all the bumbled up messes I've made in my life, I can say I did at least one thing right...

Sharing a good design with people who enjoy building and flying what they make is a good thing. Thanks Jack!

Bill

Maybe I'll call it 'My Toy'.

Well, I have the second HH built, and it still flys.

I can't believe there is not another Condor Fuselage mold somewhere in the world...

hi there from Toledo

hey Captain

Perhaps you should try "Kwah Notsuoh" or some such silliness.

ps: I agree with Oldokie "the wing is the thing" that defines the HH for most of us. The fuselage is a variable and subject to personal interpretation. I kind of like that. So be it. ciao -rjf
