Yippee!

Did my second Foward Flight on my Trex 450se!!! Video

Last weekend at the Southern California Heli Club Funfly I did my second foward flights on my Trex 450se. It was very windy and I was hesitant to fly at all, but I flew anyways.

It was really great and it feels good being able to finnaly fly around anywhere I want and not crash, especially after only learning to fly only a few months ago.

To play video, keep pressing the play button till the video appears. Then double click on video to get full screen action.

...... my flying sucked at the funflies.. i was trying to fly it too much like a plane (giving too much aileron)

but that problem is solved, though i can't fly due to the wind....
which sucks, cause i have the urge to fly so bad!... maybe tommorow.
figures, the weather is always perfect when my heli is down, but when it's flying the wind picks up. life i guess.

but at least one of us is able to fly

Thanks HeliNY. Yea, it does feel awesome to finnally go out and fly around. Its weird cause its like it all just clicked for me to fly around.

Now I want to go a size up and get maybe a Raptor e550, which should be even easier to fly around on.

brovic777 I would of said I was as good as you until I heard that wind. I think on take off my blades would of been in the dirt. who shot that hd video? that was the best heli shots I have seen. Did you get more shots of others don't get me wrong after the wind noise I was jealous of yours.

Hey mhills51, yea that wind was out of control. When just hovering, it took the trex up and down like crazy, but in Foward Flight, it actually was better at slicing through the wind.

There was more footage prior to what is seen in the video where I had to put the heli down cause the wind was so bad. But I got so fustrated with the wind, I just went for it anyways, which is the first clip in the vid.

My wife was the one that shot the vid. I got some more vids of that day here:

Here's Bert Magbanua who competing pro now flying the Raptor 90.

Here's Bert again flying the mini-titan:

And here's an upcomming pro Jason Chow who'll probably go pro next year flying the Trex 450se NewV2:

Keep pressing the play button to the video apears. I have a slow server. And double click for full screen action.

Not trying to get cocky, its just amazing me how some people are.

But yea, not to much 3d for me now.

I've realized that its funner at the stage for me to fly around than to just try 3d only. I should have tried Foward Flight months ago, but was too scared to. Foward Flight is so much easier than trying to do a flip or tick-tock.

Though I have managed to do a few flips without crashing.
