Cg

Start with CG of 58 mm from LE (~25% chord) and moving toward higher numbers. I'm now settled at about 95 mm (~45% chord). Do some experiemnts and have fun.

hello,Already finishes my manta, it weigh 300gr, it flies well, the CG this to 55 cm, but alone flight 35 seg. I expect to improve, it wanted to do a few questions, Movement develop to have the ailerons ?, pipe problems with the flight since much is fallen down of wing when it turns, you use the elevators or the helm (tail) ,to turn softly, thanks and excuse

Congraduations!

Great to hear there is another Manta completed.

Regarding the aileron setup, Dr Drela's SGII plan is a good reference to start with.

As for turn, I use mostly rudder/aileron. Here is Dr. Drela''s description on efficient turn when thermaling -
Using the Rudder in Thermal Flying

Have fun,
Geode

I don't have a source for tail booms so I'm wondering what diameter tube would work as a replacement?

SGII compatible tailboom will work perfect.

Here is some details,

32" length
0.64 OD tapering to 0.32" OD
Weight ~16g

I have a draft version pod that I used for Hyperbolic Manta. Should work just fine for Manta too. Check your email for plans.
