O.K. put me on the waiting list, I've got an empty spot on my workbench and plenty of balsa, spruce and glue! And assorted bits for building.........Mike.

Goede,

Perhaps this would be to your liking for getting a laser cut kit:

http://www.mountainmodels.com/inform...php?info_id=10
See bottom for dealer inquiry email.

It's been done with models such as the Quick Flick 2 Short Kit DLG for $16, quite reasonable.

Alas I have a common problem among builders. I see plans and planes that I just love, but the bench que grows so much faster than I actually can build. I am hoping that fall building season can start this evening (with a serious bench cleaning). Only 5 1/2 planes in the que at the moment (not counting foamies).

At that rate, the Manta II plans might be out before I start (any hints on how it is coming along?). Depending on price, I might be interested in a laser cut rib set as well (it is a lazy thing with me, cutting the ribs on the jig saw would probably be a very relaxing evening).

I'd be interested in a di/polyhedral wing option in the plans for this bird. I love the look of the plane and the specs of it but I prefer R/E controls.

I like the QFII approach. In that way, I believe more people can get into DLG more easily.

Current thinking for Manta II is to try something new. It's not intended to replace Manta I, but more like a higher aspect ratio wing, thinner airfoil and more CF in the spar (follow the main DLG trend). Everything is still in the air. Let me know what you like to see.

As for polyhedral wing, I'm currently working on my 2 channel Hyperbolic Manta II. This might actually come out sooner than Manta II.

As for schedule, I really can't commit anything. Most likely will keep you waiting for a while. Too many projects ....

Hi Geode, and all guys of the RCgroup
I mail from France... just a few miles from germany ;-)
I sent an Private Email, but I'm not sure that you've received it...
I have gone through all the 10 pages about the Manta...It's great!
And I would enjoy in trying the challenge,
though I only built rc sailboats for now.
Just a password needed for the Manta's plans?
Thank's!

Best wishes from France.

Wooh!
Thank you, Geode.
And now Ladies and Gentlemen...Let's go!
Meaning : In the nitty-gritty of the "RC glider's building"

I'll send picts as soon as possible.
But the first job , as I am concerned, is building a ( 2metersx1meter) table.

For those who requested printable plans during the past few days, you should have the plans in your email by now. If that's not the case, email me again.

Thanks for your interest,
Geode
