Question

Is the "Greater Omaha Model Yacht Club" still around?

I'm trying to locate members of this club. The club contact information on the AMYA website is out of date and I'm trying to determine if the club still exists.

Thanks

Charles, I to was curious how dated that info was. Was considering joining that club but doesnt look like they are around. Is there enough interest in re opening it again here in Nebraska/Iowa?

I have a frequency assignment chart from when I was with the club before. I'll try to contact some of the people on the chart tomorrow and let you know what I find out.

The club is dead. I talked with one of the members and it's leaders moved out of town and it just died after that. I would be interested in trying to revive it and see if there is any interest out there. He gave me a name of a person that may also be interested. Bikerider what boats do you have?
I have a Seawind, Nirvana II, Voyager and just ordered the ENTZ from Ultimate Hobbies.

Charles, thanks for the info! I am new to the whole boat thing; been at it a year now. I have a Paradise Sailboat which was my boat that got me started in boating. Love that thing. I do want to graduate up but I couldnt find anyone local for tips etc. I also have a electric PT-109 and 2 jet skis. I did build the PT from kit. I have lots of ambitions towards the sail side but not much guidance. If you're interested in getting it going again, please PM me and we can talk. Thanks!!

Just noticed that you have a ENTZ listed. Found the wedsite for Ultimate. Beautiful boat!

afwing, email on the way, havent heard from Charles yet. It would be good to get a sailing club started in the "land lock" state.
