Roswell Motors - What are they?

Anybody know what motors are used in the Roswell Flyer? I have one that and the brushes are just about spent.

The motor case says Mabuchi SO. It is the same diameter and length of a Speed 280 and Speed 300.

Has anyone taken apart the motor to find out how many winds, resistance, etc.?

How does one go about finding information on an unknown motor anyway?

Thanks,
Frank

Frank,

The Roswell Motors are a version of the Speed 300. High Speed High Torque. These are required to lift itself with 4 motors electronics and battery pack.

Mario,

Do you think a Speed 300 with the timing increased . . . say 3-5mm, would do the trick?

BTW, do you have one?

Frank,

If you are just trying to replace worn out or burnt motors go with Graupner Speed 300s. I have my own motors I use for my helis, you can try 4 of mine.

I had a roswell but since refining the frame design, I sold it. I just have a couple of my own frames I kept for posterity.

Mario,

If I go with 4 of your motors, are they equivalent to a Graupner Speed 300?

Have you ever fooled around with adding ball bearings to any of your speed 280/300s in your R&D for your models?

What do you think of the Speed 280BB from Multiplex?

Thanks,

Oops, I forgot to ask what the price is for 4 of your motors with shipping.

Does anybody have any Speed 300s that are spent or mostly spent?

I just had an idea. I would like to try taking the armature out of the Speed 300 and fitting it into a Speed 280. I may even try to fit it with ball bearings.

Thanks,

Mario,

Are these Speed 300s or Speed 280s that you gave the price for? If not Speed 300s, what are they?

Thanks,
Frank
