Scale Homebuilt RC Trucks and Cars

Just the other day I was fliping through my July 2007 Car Action magazine. Near the end of the mag I spotted somthing that caught my eye, and I instanly fell in love with. Nathan Myers built his own true to scale rc rigs. Im guessing the truck is a older Ford (possibly Chevy) with a trailer pulling a 1966 Ford Mustang. The truck being powered by 2x 550 brushed motors, and the Mustang powered by a 540 motor. Everything was hand built. I would like to know how to start one of these projects, and also what scale Nathan built his in. The only information I have ablout scale is both vehicals use Tamiya Tractor Trailer Axles. Other than that I have nothing. I think you could get much more stisfaction out of a project like this vs. buying a car. Any help would be great! Thanks.

Most of the guys "custom building" rock crawlers use brass tubing braized together...

Hope that helps...
