I will pop out some white covers over the next few days, think they will look better than the non matching blue.

This could be good for bragging rights.

The two pilot tubes and hose are avaiable seperately so anyone building a plane can put them in.

Then the actual measuring unit could be swapped from plane to plane. You just put it in plane plug it into spare channel for power and plug two tubes onto connectors.

That wont measure ground speed though, only air speed. So is different from the radar.
Still could be fun, and aint too expensive.

MAAA meeting

Guys,
I notice that there appears to be concern about insurance and weather the HSL's insurance cover U at Otford.
Maybe by attending the MAAA meeting this question can be raised.
The meeting is at the Bankstown Aircraft Musem at 8 pm
Hope this helps.

Aren't we covered under the MAAA insurance as we are registered with them not the HSL?

I would think that HSL would be covered for their site, but Otford & other site may have to be register, site by site with MAA to be covered.
This is my guess, but I don't realy know.

Otford is a registered site and the NSWSSA a registered club with its own MAAA coverage, and has been since the mid 80's. It is not associated with HSL in any way shape or form , However NSWSSA has associate members from HSL . Also Mt Annan is a registered site and under the control of the WSSS with its own MAAA coverage . So I guess that you have been misinformed somewhere along the line. As to attending the MASNSW meetings at Bankstown airport they are predominatly power flyers with no interest in what we have to say and even for a club to have a vote you need a number of registered full members . As slope clubs we have a few full members with lots of associate members from other clubs. I used to be involved with all that stuff many years ago when I flew power and from personal exprience as pure slope flyer prefer to stay away from the politics
of the MASNSW .They Know we exsit they know where we fly they have never had a problem raised against our operations .Geez I talk to the state registrar quite often . So why all of a sudden the question regarding insurance at these sites ? .

HSL members could join NSWSSA as associates to be covered at Otford. Doesnt that answer the question from Able2helpu?

The NSWSSA has the Otford slope sites and HSL has the flat field at Maddens Plains and WSSSA has the Mt Annan slope facility. Should you wish to fly at more than one, join a club and get insurance and then join the other selected club as an associate. It's too easy.
There are a number of HSL members who are associate members of the NSWSSA.

Lets just say that both the NSWSSA and the WSSS are closely aligned and also have a close relationship with HSL through associate members 1 big happy family .

Guys,
Sorry, for my ignorance.
I thought HSL and the Otford site was the same club.
Was just trying to help, didn't know the politics or the tie up between the club groups.
I now know differently, thanks.
I am glad that it is 1 big happy family, hope to meet you all soon.

Again my apoligies.
