I embedded nylon standoffs in the wing tip and used nylon 6-32 screws to attach. 3 per winglet. Seemed to work great but I have not seen what happens on a hard landing or wreck.
Just wait until you start slopeing the rock pile, those pop off tips will come in handy even on a good landing

I made my own motor plate for a 20mm motor.

I would be more then happy to send you the file, heck I would even make one for you and send it your way.

I believe the easiest way is to use ply and a ziptie, especially for 12mm motors.

As far as stock, I don't know if there is one. There are just to many options, 20mm, 12mm, then all the outrunners. It would be foolish to invest into a single style as most folks would fab their own anyways. JMHO..

I've never built a wing, or even an electric. Can you link me to a motor that would work well? Chris reccomended the razor 400 from flydma.com but its not listed on the site (i have an email into them about it).

How did I do?

Wow man, saw you at SEFF last year. At that time had no clue who you were except you were the dude with that loud and fast flat thing screaming over the field. over heard a convo you had with some dudes saying you got clocked at 170 something. So, I had a visual on you.... You are doing good for 40. I look 48 Dang that booze and controlled substances of my youth!!!

LOL, I was a bit off on my guess, and glad to know I am not the old man of wing flyers!! Sorry dude But glad you still have the vision to do so. I feel my wing time is limited due to the eyeballs.
