My TL50 AUW is 44oz with CG at 8.25". Do I need to add lead to the rear of the plane or is it close enough? The spec CG is 8.75". Motor is positioned rearward and batts are as far back as possible.

Keepin it fresh ,This seasons monsters

Here are some spex, I have ben piddling with these for the last 3 months
1 new version demon that all the demons are based on.There are some slight changes in the foil and aspect ratio.
7 s 4500 30 c poly rc
hv 85 cc esc 300 mahr 14.8 rx bat
neu 1110 2.5 y 3.2
extreme link rx system used for the radio system,you can see the nubby antenna.

Also a new 45 twin demon built for 6 7 or 8s I dont know yet.It is just a shell for now.

The covering is super coverite antique white ,that is spray painted with satin krylon.
The glass is stiff to begin with but the super coverite is like kevlar .It can be painted to fit your fancy.
I will now use this stuff always.
I only use the antique super coverite ,I tried the other brand of coverite and they dont work.

Chris;

How is the Coverite to work with compared to Monocote and UltraCote?
Great paint schemes BTW.

Thanks;

Hi Rod,The coverite goes down so verry nicely,but it has to be the exact type of the coverite the others tyes of coverite with the colors impregnated into the weave dont work too well at all.It needs to be the super antique white only.I love the painting capabilities ,and boy is it durable and stiff.

for as many as you build you should get the yellowjacket in the 100' rolls... by 36 inches it is around 80 bucks a roll

http://www.whitecapdirect.com/products/113YJ

it is the same stuff as the smaller rolls just 36 inches wide..

Paul, you've never really mentioned much about how you like this stuff. I know you've had the roll and done some builds but you havent said much about the details. You just cover one layer and the add a seconed layer ahead of the CG?

Had to put the milk carton killing TL 50 down last night. It was like putting the family dog to sleep I flew the Bejeezus out of that thing. It didn't crash in the end......... I just knew it was time.

Stripped out the old drive train and put it in the TL fity CK built me in post 77 of this thread ( beautiful bird!!) and got to maiden it tonight. Sounds like a broken record, but, toss it up and fly away after a couple of tics of trim. Felt very comfortable and a little snappier on the controls, stronger servos, and thicker elevons and no added weight. It was nice to have this in the hangar, ready to go when the old MC Killer went down..........Thanks again CK!! Can't wait to see what you got going for me on the bench these days

I cut 4 pieces out of it so that when i cover a wing half then cover the other wing half i have a dimond shape in the center over the bays i do the top and bottom the same and then use a 6 inch piece to wrap the nose for my extra strength

By doing it this way i can pull off a very light build with no over lap behind the cg out on the wing tips..

It is actually easyer to lay down because it layes so flat..

I LIKE IT
