The mega is heavier than the MD I believe. Do you know the weight of your 3700's? As you say, each combo may well be much the same weight. A 3S 2100 is having a good workout shoving a MD or such like along at a lot of WOT, as I like sometimes. A123's will shove out 30-40 amps all day long with 8 min recharges & will hold the voltage till the very end of the flight. I like them a lot in the applications I've used them in so far.

I can always buy another wing if they don't work out

Listened to the support meeting Have you made something else to listen to then?

Or are you refering to the live Skype chat thing?

Last thing of yours I listened to was you being interviewed about your models in general. Linky please if their is a new recording I've missed

Just when adam is running a single 3s 2100 it seemed heavy thinking about a123's.
On my lightning I run a mega 3 turn and a 3s 3700 and it is still verry lite and spunky.
That might e appx the weight of yours.

So 288g plus a mega 16/15/3 (if that's the one) @ 76g is 364g for motor+batts. The MD 2505 speed is I think 34g, so that gives me up to 334g for the 4S A123 to be the same weight. Just weighed 4 plain cells straight from a 10 pack and they are 294g, so I can add up to 40g in wire/heatshrink etc.

Basicaly much the same weight, so I should be ok

Thanks for the link to the recording Paul. I started reading that thread when it first started, but hadn't read the tail end of it so didn't realise you had recorded things. Just started listening to it, interesting stuff guys, very helpfull

Mum is the word!

two new things

First guess what this new 50''is?

Wow can you say Demon 50 ,I have it sittn next to a Demon 40 for comparrison.
I have also tracked down some glass weave that is thinner and lighter than the 183''.It is a little more expencive ,but wow is it awesome.
It is 4'' by 150' ft roll .

For weight savings in all builds this stuff would be awesome.
Here is a few pix.
