Your original 5300kV inrunner will have you running a 3.25" diam propeller, which is no suitable for this plane. You can keep it for when you go into edf's.
ok, i guess i'll hang on to it, i got the wrong $20 motor from hobbyking for a car and shipping is as much as it would cost to return it, so outrunners are the best bet? ok, i'll keep it for something else than, i have a lot of 1 inch foam so i'll probable make something stupid like a overpowered airboat or something, who knows. so i will be starting my build in a few weeks, i can't get access to cut down some 1 inch foam to the correct size for now, so no building yet. i also need some supplies for it to, but that's not major.
i have another question, has anyone ever painted these with a lexan paint? i have some for cars that is left over, and i'm thinking if it won't eat the foam it might be a really good paint for foamies, since it's really flexible(it doesn't chip, it will flex with the lexan shells and foam if it works with it.)
